Summary:
Sport Structures was commissioned to develop a volunteer planning guide to assist County and Sub-Regional Sports Partnerships in developing a volunteer plan.
Approach:
Sport Structures led a workshop with the majority of CSP volunteer lead officers to identify the key issues to be included in a planning guide.
Following the workshop, desk research was undertaken to identify other resources and programmes that could support the development of the document. Key documents previously produced to support NGB volunteer plan support and Step into Sport information were used to guide the development of the document.
Consultation with the Sport England workforce regional lead officers and CSP representatives provided further input into the production of the guide.
Outcome:
The volunteer planning workshop provided guidance on the shape of the planning guide. The final volunteer planning guide provided a process and support resources to assist county and sub-regional partnerships with an in-depth volunteer planning guide.
