Summary
Sport Structures were contracted to work with Volleyball England to develop and support the senior team with Volleyball’s submission for the foundation and preliminary levels of the Equality Standard for Sport.
Approach
Sport Structures provided two awareness sessions for Volleyball England tailored to suit their needs. One with the Board and staff as part of a team development day including equity and secondly with the head office staff team to raise awareness of sports equity, the EVA equity policy and to identify the barriers that exist in people trying to take part in Volleyball.
Following the workshops Sport Structures guided the development of the portfolio’s at both the foundation and preliminary levels of the standard.
Outcome
Volleyball England was successfully awarded the foundation and preliminary level of the standard.
