Summary:
Sport Structures were invited to develop a club volunteer coordinator workshop building on the Running Sport Volunteer Management workshop specifically for Rugby Union.
Approach:
From our knowledge of the Running Sport workshop the outcomes for the new workshop were developed with the RFU and its staff. From this point a series of inter-active activities were developed to make sure the workshop enhanced learning through the meeting of the outcomes. Following an initial pilot the workshop was reviewed and enhanced by taking into account the comments from participants and tutors.
Outcome:
An inter-active workshop delivered by Running Sport tutors to clusters of clubs across the country which has raised the profile of the importance of the volunteer coordinator in Rugby.
