Outline
We provided England Korfball with temporary cover for a period of 7 months, managing the England Korfball Inspired programme. Our Sports Projects Executive Jessica Skinner, was embedded into the organisation to take on the role of event co-ordination / management with an end goal of establishing sustainable structures through local committees.
Approach
Jessica got stuck straight into the role after agreeing key objectives and priorities. She was adaptable and aware of all the potential barriers to ensure all participants had a positive experience. She had a clear work programme in place to ensure she was able to keep the members, event organisers as well as the England Korfball Board happy at all times.
Outcome
Jessica achieved all outcomes that were required in her role which led to the recruitment of a new National Korfball Development Officer to continue the legacy. Sport Structures not only supported with the recruitment of this new individual but the line management and hosted this individual as if they were a part of the Sport Structures team. This approach really helped to support the National Development Manager in their role and ensured they continued to make an impact to the sport
