In November 2010 the British Roller Sport Federation were successful in securing funding from the Sport England Impact and Improvement Fund to assist the federation in the modernisation of the federation and its membership. The administration and support for the grant application was made by the Sport and Recreation Alliance (SaRA).

This award has been made to enable the Federation to modernise and streamline the BRSF organisation so that the BRSF can move roller sports forwards and play a much greater role in the developing sporting framework of the UK.

On the recommendation of SaRA, Sport Structures were commissioned to support the BRSF in their application and the project itself. The following process was identified in the submission.
