Summary
We worked closely with the Aston Villa Foundation to support them in delivering the 1st4Sport Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport to their internal workforce.
Approach
We firstly spoke to the foundation and agreed that a member of their workforce would deliver the qualification as they met the specified workforce criteria. They were made aware of our learning programme along with the qualification and administration requirements. The course was then set up and administered to ensure learners received the relevant information prior to the course. Learners completed their linked and progressive sessions as part of their day to day delivery working in schools and local communities.
Outcome
A quality assurance visit was conducted to support the delivery of the course and the feedback was excellent. Learners said the following:
“This qualification will really benefit me with my day to day work”
“The course was well delivered with a good mix of practical and theory”
“We had the opportunity to put into practice what we learnt. The activities were fun and engaging”
“The course gave great insight to the breakdown of skill development to enhance player development. The course was tailored with fun tasks that kept the learners engaged and challenged their development further as a coach.” Corrine Mitchell, AVFC Foundation
All learners completed the qualification and are now officially recognised as coaches in multi-skills.
