Are you needing to increase your digital presence? Then there is no better way that by employing a digital marketing apprentice following the government’s recent announcements to incentivise employing apprentices with additional money. The government see the role apprenticeships can play in re-charging the economy and to support this they confirmed the following additional incentives that any employer taking on a new apprentice will receive.
- £2,000 per apprentice aged 16-24
- £1,500 per apprentice aged 25+
This relates to apprentices taken on from 1st August 2020 through to 31st January 2020. For an employer to be eligible for the incentive, they must:
- Employ an apprentice who has not been employed by the employer within the six months prior to the apprenticeship contract start date.
There is no limit to the number of incentive payments an employer can get and the payment will be made directly to employers in two equal instalments, where the apprentice is still in learner at day 90 and day 365.
We have been delivering the digital marketing apprenticeship standard since 2017 and have worked with at a host of sport organisations including: National Governing Bodies and their clubs, Active Partnerships, Football Clubs and Football Foundations (including a Premier League team), and County FAs. The apprenticeship training includes face-to-face sessions, webinars and other interactive approaches to teaching which develops the knowledge and skills to incorporate this learning into their job roles and tasks. The apprentices develop their marketing, digital marketing and coding skills and gain industry recognised qualifications. In addition, a guest speaker from the digital marketing sector is included in the delivery plan to give the employers and apprentices further advice and information.
