Earlier this month, we delivered our seventh multi-skills activator course in partnership with Age UK in Exeter. The course has been delivered nationally to support local Age UK volunteers to deliver physical activity sessions to groups within their local community.
The course explored the role of the activator, considerations when planning, delivering and reviewing sessions, the importance of inclusion and differentiation and ideas on how to adapt activities for specific audiences.
95% of those that attended rated the course as ‘excellent’. Delegates reported that they felt ‘more confident’, ‘excited’ and ‘ready to adapt sessions for different users and abilities’.
