Get involved, get active, and join us in saying 'thank you' to the people who helped get us through this pandemic
On Sunday 4th July people across the country will be coming together to take part in Thank You Day and celebrate the friends, neighbours, coaches and volunteers who have kept our communities during the pandemic.
Sport is a great unifier, and sports clubs and coaches have worked tirelessly to support some of the most vulnerable young people and their families during lockdown. So we're asking everyone to get out, get active, and take part in sport and physical activity in a way that works for you.
Join us at 9:00am on Sunday 4th July for an hours exercise across our country’s green spaces:
Get together with your neighbours, family and friends and join an hour's exercise - run, walk, roll, swim, cycle, have a footy match - whatever you do, let's celebrate sport for bringing us together.
This could look like whatever you'd like! Here are a few ideas:
- If you're a local club invite people to take part in sporting activities and events at 9am on Thank You Day.
- Move existing matches etc to Sunday 4th July/ rebrand as Thank You Day events/matches/specials
Celebrate and say thank you to the volunteers and supporters by holding a Thank You brunch afterwards
