After eight years of successful delivery of Club Mark, Club Matters and latterly Buddle we will be finishing the delivery of the Buddle programme at the end of March. We are exceptionally proud of the work we have done on behalf of Sport England and with the many partners around the country.
In 2017, we inherited the Club Matters programme that was still in its infancy but contained the legacy programme, ClubMark which had somewhat lost direction. Our transition out of ClubMark and rapid move online at the start of COVID really demonstrated our agility in responding to needs. Our latter contract has seen us flex to different forms of delivery with a broadened demographic of tutors more relevant to the community of sport and physical activity. We are very proud of our drive for change to support the voluntary workforce where many of our staff have and still do volunteer.
We have enjoyed strengthening the foundations of the #Buddle programme to include more local tutors, place-based working and community organisations. We would like to thank our colleagues in Sport England and the two other suppliers, Continuum and Substance for genuine partnership working. The stars of our delivery have been the tutors and course organisers who have been brilliant in moving with the times and we would like to thank them for their flexibility and passion for this key area of community sport.
We wish the new suppliers well and as a not-for-profit company embedded in community sport, we will continue to provide high-quality, value-for-money training and education.
