Well, 2018 was a very busy year for us here at Sport Business! We started off the year by starting an embedded services role at Cerebral Palsy Sport, in which we covered their engagement officer while they were on maternity leave.
Clubmark, our biggest project got off to a great start with initial meetings with the 3 other suppliers well under way, development of relationships with over 78 NGBs and CSPs, new assessor training delivered and an expansion of the Club Matters workshop tutor workforce. We also supported Club Matters with the development and testing of the Volunteer Experience workshop. Other projects that came our way were some big research and insight projects with organisations like Aston Villa Football Club, Boccia England, EMD UK and Birmingham FA.
Turning our attention to international work, Simon had a busy year tutoring on behalf of FIBA helping us to grow our international portfolio. Towards the end of the year we started work with Football in Wales Trust, supporting them with their football in education review in Wales and took on some work with two CSPs in workforce related projects, Active Oxfordshire and CSW Sport.
Lastly, in December we recruited a new team member Mark Knight who will be involved in our biggest project Clubmark and supporting the Project Manager, Jessica from January, we are excited to welcome him to the team!
We are very excited to keep continue working hard from January with new projects on the horizon which include working with the WPBSA, British Taekwondo and BAFA and are excited to see where 2019 takes us, watch this space.
