Pre-mid-March we were looking forward to delivering a variety of courses in the coming months to upskill volunteers, coaches, and the professional workforce. With the introduction of Covid-19, the majority of provision was paused in line with Government guidelines.
Over the last four months, we have been working collectively with partners to be able to provide a learning offer, working specifically with Sport England (Club Matters workshops), Sport Wales (Club Solutions workshops), UK Coaching (Safeguarding workshops) and Basketball England (Level 2 Basketball course).
We are pleased to have delivered 21 courses with 202 learners (excluding Club Matters and Solutions workshops). The introduction of virtual workshops for Club Matters has proved popular with 122 workshops being delivered between mid-April and July with 979 individuals accessing one of the suite of six workshops.
Club Solutions workshops started in July and during that month, 4 workshops were delivered with 28 individuals from Wales attending.
We hope to further reflect and improve on the learning over this period and work to support the introduction of face to face learning in due course.
