This month, we have started delivery of the multi-skills development in sport qualification through a blended learning approach. The qualification is designed to prepare learners for deployment as independent coaches of multi-skills.
Learners have so far attended two virtual classroom sessions, exploring the principles of coaching, the fundamentals of movement, fundamental movement and sport specific skills. The virtual sessions were delivered by experienced multi-skills coach, Gordon Fearn.
Once Government guidelines allow, we will be organising tutor contact days to give learners the opportunity to apply their knowledge and understanding in a coaching context.
Learners are attending this course to “broaden my knowledge of coaching fundamental activities and sports”, “support my confidence as a coach” and “develop my sessions to help children reach their maximum potential in sport and physical activity”
