On Wednesday 20th February Natalie and Simon attended one of CIMPSA’s PDC groups hosted at Sport Park, Loughborough. The focus of the meeting was to determine the need for a research & insight standard for the sector. The standard would provide consistency and would allow us to be clearer how to attract specialists into the sector but also develop people that work in this area with the right skills and CPD in place.
Day two was a sector specific group led by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP). The session consisted of updates from the sports sector on topics such as; ESFA funding, information on the refresh of the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), end point assessment organisation updates and CIMSPA industry updates.
It was great to meet other providers and awarding organisations and explore solutions to similar barriers together in order to improve the offer to the sector as a whole. We are a new member to AELP and are excited to be a part of the group and are looking forward to future events, the next being in May 2019.
