2020 has certainly been a busy year for the team working on the Club Matters contract. From adapting to virtual delivery overnight, to establishing a whole new professional workforce CPD offer, it certainly wasn’t a year we (or anyone) had planned! We are pleased to share some key achievements through delivery of the project. These include:
- Delivering 244 Club Matters workshops to over 2000 participants
- Improving satisfaction scores from participants to 95% (either satisfied or very satisfied) and to 91% for workshop organisers
- Working with over 42 stakeholders to deliver Club Matters workshops
- Recruiting 29 new tutors
- Supporting our tutor workforce through workforce and training events, providing plenty of opportunities to feedback and implementing subsequent improvements
- Developing a robust internal quality assurance process to maximise participant, workshop organiser and tutor experience
- Establishing a Club Workforce Group made up of a range of professional workforce staff to ensure professional workforce CPD was designed through a needs led approach
- Developing 2 CPD courses for the professional workforce: Supporting Clubs to Succeed and Helping Clubs in Crisis
- Delivering the initial 3 cohorts of Supporting Clubs to Succeed to 42 participants
- Planning in a further 2 cohorts of Supporting Clubs to Succeed and the initial 2 cohorts of Helping Clubs in Crisis for 2021
- Developing 2 new resources for the Club Matters website to support clubs in the initial month of the pandemic
We are excited to see what 2021 holds for the programme (and for life in the new ‘norm’) and look forward to continuing the momentum gained to ensure we can support as many clubs/groups as possible in the aftermath of the pandemic and to ensure the professional workforce feel better equipped to support clubs/groups in the most effective way.
