We have been working in partnership with Norwich City Community Sport Foundation for a number of years to support the development and upskilling of their workforce. A key element of this has been achieved through the delivery of apprenticeship programmes including the Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Supporting Physical Education and School Sport, the Community Activator Coach Standard and the Community Sport and Health Officer Standard.
These apprenticeships have trained coaches and delivery staff in the fundamentals of coaching to improve their delivery in schools and other community programmes and as a result positively impacted the health and wellbeing of thousands of participants. The apprenticeships programme has created a clear pathway of development for aspiring coaches joining the organisation and has been complimented by additional courses such as Level 2 Multi-skills Development in Sport.
