We are delighted to confirm your place on the virtual UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop.
Pre-course Checklist
In order to ensure a positive learning environment and a smooth start to the workshop, learners are required to:
- Log into the virtual classroom ahead of the workshop (10 minutes ahead of time if possible). When you sign in, please use your first and last name so we can easily identify you.
- Have access to an environment with limited distractions which is conducive to learning
- Have a good WiFi connection
- Have access to a laptop or tablet. A smart phone device is acceptable but functionality for interactive elements of the workshop is limited. Therefore, a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended. The device must have access to a microphone as the workshop will be interactive
- Be willing to contribute to discussions and activities
It is also recommended that you have access to a pen and paper to take notes.
Appropriate comfort breaks will be provided throughout the workshop.
Technical Challenges
We recognise when conducting virtual sessions, technology can sometimes go wrong. We encourage you to re-join the workshop as soon as you can.
Please be aware that if you are 15 minutes late for the workshop, the tutor has the right to refuse your entry to the workshop.
If you are unable to re-join the workshop, it might be that you will be required to re-join another workshop in the future to gain your certificate. Each circumstance will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Leaner Pre-Requisites
In order to attend this workshop, learners are required to be at least 16 years of age.
About the workshop
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Identify and recognise good coaching practice and the implications for your coaching
- Explore your values and feelings in relation to child abuse, and recognise their potential impact on your response
- Recognise and respond to possible signs of child abuse
- Take appropriate action if concerns about a child arise.
Resource
Learners will receive a digital copy of the electronic safeguarding resource which will be valid online for a 3 month period. Should you wish to request a hardcopy resource, please contact us. A fee will apply.

If you have a disability, health condition or specific learning need, please inform us as soon as possible so we can modify the delivery of the course to maximise your learning experience.
Certification
Your certificate will be sent via email to the email address you identified when you booked onto the workshop. To receive your certificate via post, additional charges may apply.
If payment for the workshop is outstanding, your certificate will not be issued until payment has been received.
