The Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship will equip leaders and senior managers with the necessary tools to effectively manage teams and/or projects to successfully meet goals as part of the organisation's strategy. The leadership training and project management training are two aspects of the apprenticeship that will enhance the skills of the apprentice in preparation for management roles. The Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship is approximately 22 months in duration (18 months training and 4 months EPA) and covers the key competencies required to successfully manage teams and projects in line with an organisation’s operational or departmental strategy.
The programme will cover a variety of topics allowing managers to contribute to, and create, strategic plans alongside the creation and development of business plans which will be integral to a business’ performance. Some of the topics covered include: managing people, developing relationships, operational management, project management and finance which are all fundamental to a management trainee role.
Delivery Outline:

"The skills that I learned throughout the apprenticeship really opened my eyes and helped me to understand the wider picture of management and the things you don't really think about day to day, so it's really helped me to develop morals to take forwards with me in my job role."
